Why We Created Olassana

Surgery is just the beginning.

Many bariatric patients prepare for the procedure, but are less prepared for the recovery, lifestyle changes, and new routines that follow.

Olassana was created to bridge that gap — providing compassionate recovery support, guidance, accountability, and coaching to help patients move from surgery to sustainable change.

Because recovery shouldn’t end when you leave the hospital.

Support Rooted In Compassion

Bariatric surgery changes far more than the body.

It often changes daily routines, relationships with food, confidence, energy levels, and the way people see themselves.

At Olassana, we believe patients deserve support that extends beyond the operating room. Our approach combines practical recovery guidance, compassionate accountability, and habit-focused coaching designed to help clients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout every stage of their transformation.

Meet Christina Hernandez

Olassana was founded by Christina Hernandez, a bilingual healthcare support professional and entrepreneur based in Puerto Vallarta.

After working closely with individuals navigating major life transitions, Christina recognised a recurring challenge among bariatric patients: while surgical care is often excellent, many people feel isolated once they leave the hospital and uncertain about how to build lasting habits afterward.

She created Olassana to provide the kind of support many patients wish they had from the beginning—clear guidance before surgery, compassionate recovery assistance, and ongoing coaching focused on sustainable lifestyle change.

Her philosophy is simple:

Surgery can change your body. Building new habits changes your life.
